Gift Tags!

Hi, friends!
I'm sharing some gift tags I made for my inspiration post at Mudra. I had so much fun creating these..Here's a look at them. I have made 4 tags in total.

First Tag

For this tag, I stamped the flowers & leaves from the Botanical Blooms set and fussy cut them before foam mounting it on the tag base. I have used inks from Altenew here.
I decided to stamp the sentiment on the left side at an angle to create some interest.
Finished it off by doing some black ink splatters and adding the pink satin ribbon.

Second Tag

For this tag, I water-colored the background using Distress inks & I stamped the flower & the foliage by doing a little bit of masking. I kept it simple by just doing some stamping & watercoloring. Finished it off by stamping the sentiment from the Mini Bunch set.

Third Tag

For this one, I stamped the flower bouquet from the On your Special Day set and water colored it using Distress inks before fussy-cutting it & adding foam tape.
For the base of my tag, I die-cut the stitched pattern at an angle and water-colored the bottom half of the tag using Cracked Pistachio Distress ink. I then stamped the sentiment by masking and using two different fonts for it. The 'Special' is from the  On your Special Day set and the 'Wishes' is from the 'Mini Bunch' set. Added some ribbon to finish off my tag.

Fourth Tag

For this tag, I water-colored the background using Distress inks & I stamped the flower & the foliage by doing a little bit of masking. The stamp set used here is from Mudra & is called 'Wild Florals'
To create a bit of dimension, I again stamped, watercolored & fussy-cut the flower before foam mounting it and adhering it to the tag base. Stamped the sentiment from the Mini Bunch set and added some splatters of gold mist.

Few more shots :

Entering these in Cupcake Inspirations (only the right hand-side tag - I was inspired by the colours), Tuesday Throwdown -CAS, Amusing Challenges- Anything Goes,  Inkspirational - Primary Colours, SSS- Anything Goes

Floral Happy Birthday | Card

Hi, friends!
I am sharing a card I made for my DT inspiration post at Mudra using few of their new stamps. Here's a look at my card :

Few close up shots :

To create this card, I took an A2 white card base and die-cut a rectangle frame to fit my card front using some Gold Glitter paper. I kept aside the frame and did not adhere it right away.
I made some watercolored stripes on my card front using a light blue shade of Distress ink. These were hand painted using a flat brush. I really loved the soft look of it.
Now, for the main focal of my card. I first stamped the sentiment for my card - I decided to go with "Happy birthday". It was stamped using some Versafine Onyx Black ink and is from the Mudra- Brushed Sentiments set. Since the font is pretty bold and it is in a brush lettered font, it creates a really striking focal.  I, then stamped and fussy-cut some flowers & leaves using the Mudra Daisy Blooms and Botanical Blooms set. I have used the Altenew Mini Inks for stamping all the flowers & leaves- Red Cosmos, Green Fields & Summer Afternoon. Adhered them using some foam tape and added the glitter frame to my card base that I had die-cut earlier. Finally added some sequins from my all time favourite, Pretty Pink Posh to finish off the card.

Linking his card to STAMPlorations CASEplorations Challenge- CASEing Shalu's card (I was inspired by the stripes and the florals), NBUS Challenge- My Mudra Happy birthday stamp set is brand new and I finally used the Gold Glitter paper which was there in my stash for a long time, ColourQ #356, Sweet Stampin- No Designer paper and Little Red Wagon- Birthdays

I hope you like my card. Do leave me your comments/suggestions regarding it. I love to hear from you! :)

Have a nice day everyone!

Fuschias | Card

 Hi, bloggy friends!
I am sharing a card today that I made some days back for my inspiration post at Mudra Craft Stamps. Here's a look at my card :

It's a fairly simple card to make. I have used the Mudra Hummingbird stamp set designed by Suchi of Suchi's Cardstock. You should definitely visit her blog to see her amazing CAS cards :)

I stamped and clear heat-embossed the fuschias on a watercolor card panel and did some simple watercolouring using Distress inks. I then stamped the sentiment which is also from the same set and added few die-cut butterflies from an Impression Obsession die. Added few gold splatters and did some light blue watercolouring on the background.
I added a patterned paper from the Papericious Ephemera collection and mounted my panel to an A2 white card base and it was done :)

Linking this card to Cards und more- Pink & Green, Craftin' Desert Divas- Watercoloring, Allsorts- Fabulous florals

Mixed Media Canvas | Photo Tutorial

Hi, friends!
I have a Canvas to share today which I made for my DT post at Pretty Paper Studio. It's been a while since I made one of these and I was pretty happy with the outcome. I am also sharing a step by step tutorial on how I made it. Here's a look at my canvas first :

 PHOTO TUTORIAL

Here’s how I went about  creating this Canvas :

Step 1 – I have used a canvas board which is 6 inches X 7 inches in size for my base. I prepped the surface with some Gesso and Prima Texture Powder to give it some tooth.

Step 2 –  After priming the base with Gesso, I then painted the entire canvas with Prima Egg Blue Chalkboard Paint using a broad, flat brush.

Step 3 – Once my background was painted, I  started gathering my supplies to embellish my canvas. I first die cut some oval frame using Spellbinders Elegant Oval dies from a watercolor paper which is 300 gsm in thickness

Step 4 – I then started to work some colors on my background using Heidi Swapp Color Shine sprays .I have used Rose color below.I then gessoed my oval frame and colored it using the Rose Color spray.

Step 5 – I wanted to incorporate some foiling in my project so I used the Prima Adhesive Rub Ons along with some Prima Golden Girl Foil Sheets.I selected a script pattern for my canvas.

Step 6 – The shine that this foil gives is really very beautiful.I found that this adhesive rub on works better on very smooth surfaces like paper rather than a uneven texture of canvas.

Here’s a close up of the foiling I did, as you can see it has some partial foiling in it  rather than a crisp image. This was due to the uneven surface of the canvas.

Step 7 – Once the foiling was done I added in more texture using the Tim Holtz Lace stencil along with texture paste which I made by mixing Gesso with the Prima Texture Powder and a little bit of Heidi Swapp Color Shine Raspberry spray which  I stencilled through the Tim Holtz Lace stencil.

Step 8 – To create my flowers, I die-cut some flowers using a white cardstock and colored them using the Rose color from Heidi Swapp Color Shine spray.

Step 9 –  To further create some foliage and flower sprays for my canvas, I stamped the leaves and flowers from the Paper Smooches Botanicals 3 set using the Prima Lime Pie Chalk ink and some Altenew inks from the Four Scoops Mini set.

After stamping and fussy cutting the flowers, I embossed them using a embossing stylus and added a pollen in the centre to make a dimensional flower.

Step 10– Finally, I added some hexagon die cuts in the background to accent it and also used a butterfly to finish off my canvas.

It's Your Day!

Hi, everyone!
I have a card to share today that I made using lot of my new crafty goodies. Here's a look at it :

To create this card, I first took an A2 card base and die-cut a frame which was slightly smaller than my base. You must be bored seeing this frame die on all my recent cards, but it's my absolute fave currently and I love using it for my card panels :D
Then, I die-cut a circle using the Stitched Circles die by Gina Marie. I further die-cut this circle to create a ring which I then colored using Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I then inlaid the die-cut circle back into the negative space and added a die cut hexagon border in the back which was also colored using Distress ink Fossilized Amber. This die was a recent buy and is by MFT. Sadly, it just got retired :(

I them stamped some flowers using the Daisy Blooms set by Mudra. These flowers have only two step stamping and so do the leaves, so I first stamped the base colors using Altenew inks and for the second layer I heat embossed it using Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing powder.
The flowers and leaves were then fussy cut and foam mounted on the card base. I stamped and die-cut the banner before placing it on the centre of the die cut circle. I love the Mango Smoothie ink by Altenew, it's such a nice, and bright happy yellow colour. The sentiment is from the Brushed Sentiments set, again by Mudra.
I finished the card with some black spatters using Black Acrylic paint and a few sequins from my favorite, Pretty Pink Posh.

I'm linking this to the Ranganjali Challenge- My favorite technique is layered stamping & die-cutting, and I have incorporated both in my card, HLS - Anything Goes with Dies challenge, Wow Challenge- Flowers, Stempelgarten - Flowers and plants and SSS - Around the Border ( Used a frame die )

I hope you liked my card. I would love to hear your comments/suggestions regarding it :)

Have a nice day everyone!

A Masculine Card

Hello, everyone!
I'm back with a card which is quite different from my usual style.  I made a masculine card after a long time & really enjoyed the creative process. Here's a look at my card :

This card was rather easy to put together and that might sound a bit weird as masculine cards are always difficult to make, but the Papericious Gentleman Paper Pack & Mudra DAD set are just the perfect match to make such cards :)

To create this card, I first took an A2 red colored card base and die-cut a frame using the Argyle pattern Paper from the Gentleman Pack which was slightly smaller than my base. Then, I took another paper from the same collection and again die-cut a frame smaller than my previous card front and foam mounted it for dimension.
The white card panel was also die-cut using a Stitched Rectangles die & I have stamped the moustache, the glasses, the bow-tie and the sentiment from the Mudra Dad set.
For the hat, I have done paper-piecing on the band of it using a pattern paper from the Papericious - The Gentleman pack. Finally added some googly eyes to create some fun interest to my card and stamped the sentiment on a white banner which was slightly distressed using Hickory Smoke Distress ink.

Linked this up in the Star Stampz - Add a sentiment, Addicted to Stamps and More- Anything Goes, Word Art Wednesdays- Anything Goes, Stampin' Royalty- Anything Goes and Crafty Hazelnuts- Anything Goes with Patterned paper.

I hope you like this card of mine. As I mentioned earlier, it's quite different from my usual style, so it was really nice to create one after a long time :) I would love to read your comment/suggestions regarding it.

Have a nice day everyone.

Happy Birthday | Card

Hi, friends!
Sharing another card I made using Mudra stamps. This card took me quite some time to make, even though it looks pretty simple :) That background stamping was a bit tedious to do, but I'm happy with the results. Here's a look at my card :

The border stamp is actually a layered stamp set by Mudra. As you can make out, I have used three different stamps to create the peacock-feathers kinda pattern!

To create this card, I first took an A2 card base and die-cut a frame which was slightly smaller than my base. Then I started creating my stamped border using the Mudra Pattern Builder set. I used the bigger individual stamps  to create my border. I inked the three stamps with different shades of blue and green to get this color.
Once my background was done, I stamped, gold heat embossed, colored and fussy cut some flowers using the Mini Bunch set. These flowers and leaves were then foam mounted.
I tried to do something new on this card, so I incorporated a braided twine in the middle and stamped my sentiment using the Raksha Bandhan Sketches set and the Brushed sentiments. Finally added some sequins to finish my card.

Linking this card to Stamping Sensations- Anything Goes, Penny Black & more- Anything goes with a stamp, Wow Embossing- Flowers (I have used gold embossing powder for the flowers & leaves), The Crafty Addicts- Anything Goes/Emboss it and House of Cards - I have used twine.

I hope you liked today's card. Looking forward to hearing your views regarding it. Thanks for dropping by!

Have a nice day everyone.

Altered Perfume Box

Hi, crafty friends!
I have an Altered Box to share today made using Papericious papers & Mudra stamps. I have made one after a long time, here's a look at it :

Here's how I went about altering it :
  • I first gessoed the entire box so that it could take paint easily.
  • I then used the Prima Chalkboard paint - Egg Blue to color my base. I made sure to cover all sides of the box as well as the insides to give it a nice, shabby look.
  • I then measured and cut pattern papers from The Gentleman paper pack and distressed the edges of the paper using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.
  • Then, I have die-cut a scalloped border using the Mi Estilo paper pack and I have used this border on all four sides of the box.
  • To embellish the top of the box, I have die-cut a few decorative frames using Spellbinders Dies. I have stamped the sentiment from the Mini Bunch set.
  • The flowers & the leaves are stamped & fussy-cut using the Daisy Bloom set.
  • I have also used some die-cut leaves and some glitter flourishes to create my foliage.
  • I added a decorative buckle to the box which has been die-cut using a Spellbinder's die. I have added velcro dots on the insides for the closure.
  • Added some pearls and a butterfly to complete the overall look.
I'm entering my altered box in the Inky Chicks- 5 or more flowers ( I have used stamped flowers), Crafty Boots- Use a stamp, Love to Scrap - Use 2 of something (Stamped Daisies) and Things to Alter- Anything Goes challenge ( I unfortunately don't have a picture of the perfume box I altered before starting on my project ), SSS- Try to contain yourself (I have upcycled a box).

I hope you like my project. Do leave me your comments/suggestions regarding it. I love hearing from you.

Have a nice day everyone.
